LET'S CELEBRATE

Hello all, I'm about to share some very important information concerning Independence Day. The first bit of data was gathered by me from Ranger.esc14.net. This is one of the websites visited to get more clarity on this wonderful holiday. Here goes:

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS
ONE NATION UNDER GOD,
INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE
FOR ALL.

To Pledge is to make a promise; and the word Allegiance, means to be loyal.
A republic is a nation where everyone has a say in the governing of the nation.
One nation under God; means that we are one nation in the sight of God.
Indivisible; means that though the United States is made from many parts, those parts
make one whole, which cannot be torn apart. This is what the civil war was fought about.
With liberty...for all;means that everyone in the United States has equal rights.
And justice for all; means that if you must go to court, you will be treated the same, no mater who you are.

One of the reasons this explanation means so much to me personally, is that it helps me to break it down to the children I teach. Let them know that what they are reciting is not just an echo of meaningless words. Instinctively, we are aware of the importance of this pledge, this really explains what it means when recited.
Now, go enjoy this day which the Lord has made.

STEP UP TO THE PLATE

Order your day, don't just accept anything that's handed down to you. How in the world does a person accomplish this? Think, decide, make your move. You decide what kind of day you're going to have. The world (some soul), will always provide the props. Let them have their say, but then, don't hesitate to let them know how you really feel. Not talking about hurting any one's feelings; I'm talking about telling the truth, IN LOVE. There are far too many folks walking around with a Miss-guided philosophy, something they've decided to be true. That's their choice. But, when they sit in the seat of their own conclusion, then attempt to sell it to you, Say NO! I do not receive that. Just as you would never accept just anything someone serves you at a restaurant, don't stand there and accept something from a Miss-informed individual?
This is YOUR DAY, don't allow anyone to project their error onto you. Make the correction with loving care, but do speak what you feel to be the truth. After all, you have much to add to this dark world. Take whatever opportunity God opens up to you, and help someone who is obviously walking in darkness. One thing I've found to be helpful, and it's this......Begin your day with the Lord. Read His Word. Accept what He reveals to you. Be Thankful. The Bible promises this......FOR WE KNOW THAT ALL GOOD THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD, TO THOSE WHO LOVE HIM; TO THOSE WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSES.
This is your day, you decide how you're going to use it.
Go With God, never accept second best, Share your love.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, ALL!

TODAY, WENT SHOPPING FOR SOME WOOD
A FACE LIFT FOR MY YARD
LOOKED HERE AND THERE, BAFFLED I STOOD
SO MANY CHOICES, CAN THIS BE HARD?

I TURNED ONCE MORE, CAME FACE TO FACE
WITH A MAN AS BIG AS A HOUSE
HIS EYES SO GENTLE, HIS VOICE LIKE LACE
HIS HANDS COULD CUDDLE A MOUSE

AS I BEGAN TO EXPLAIN MY PLIGHT
HE GRINNED SO VERY WIDE
HE MUST HAVE BEEN THREE TIMES MY HEIGHT
AND FOUR TIMES MY WEIGHT BESIDES

A FENCE, I SAID, TO GUARD MY PETS
TO KEEP THE NEIGHBORS AT BAY
TWO DOGS HAVE I, WHO’S SEEN THE VET
THEY NEED A PLACE TO PLAY

WELL, HELP WAS THERE IN FRONT OF ME
THIS MAN SO GENTLE AND KIND
EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENT WOOD, THE FEE
NEXT WORDS, THEY BOGGLED MY MIND

MA'AM, PARDON ME, I WANT TO SHARE
SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED TO ME
HE LIFTED HIS HAT, DID SHOW SOME HAIR
AND A SCAR AS WIDE AS THE SEA

ONE DAY WHEN I WAS HOMEWARD BOUND
A MAN, I THOUGHT NEEDED AID
WAS FALLING DOWN UPON THE GROUND
A MOANING SOUND HE MADE

I REACHED OUT MY HAND TO HELP HIM UP
WHEN WHAT TO MY SURPRISE
WITHIN HIS HAND, A GUN HE CUPPED
HE SHOT ME IN THE EYE

YOUR MONEY, FOOL, HE SCOFFED AT ME
IS ALL THE HELP I NEED
GIVE IT UP, I’LL SET YOU FREE
I FEEL UPON MY KNEE
HE TOOK THE CASH, $20. ALL
I HAD ON ME THAT DAY
MY MIND WENT BLANK, I TOOK THE FALL
“MY MOTHER”, WAS ALL I COULD SAY


THE DAYS GREW LONG, MY NURSE, MY MOM
WAS ALL I HAD IN THIS WORLD
NO WAR ZONE FIELD, NO VIETNAM
BUT THIS AT ME WAS HURLED

NO MATTER WHAT LIFE CARES YOU BEAR
KEEP GOD CLOSE TO YOUR HEART
DO PRAY FOR BLIND MEN EVERYWHERE
HIS LIGHT, HE WILL IMPART

Today is Father's Day, and I want to reminding dads everywhere that they are loved and very much appreciated.
